Volkswagen Van Service (Spalding) at Crowsons
Crowsons was established in 1953 by Mr Raymond Crowson and his father Thomas, at Little London Service Station, now known as BP, serving fuel and motor parts to the people of Spalding. After a need for car sales in the area Ray and Thomas moved to a new premesis in Commercial Road, taking on the Simca and Fiat franchises. By the mid 1970's operations were transferred to Winsover Road and by this time Simca and Fiat were discarded for the much more prestigious Triumph/Rover brand. When the two makes hit an all time low, Ray introduced Volkswagen & Audi in 1977 and at the same time sons Paul and Ian joined the family firm. Mark later joined in 1982 with Rays wife Monica busy working hard behind the scenes. In the mid '90's Crowsons relinquished Audi to solely concentrate on the sales and aftersales of New Volkswagens and quality used cars. During 1995 another move was on the cards as the Winsover Road premises was no longer able to host the ever expanding Volkswagen range. Wardentree Lane in Pinchbeck was to be Crowsons new home and enabled us to have a larger showroom, used car forecourt and workshop capacity. After settling into the new showroom, 1999 saw a major facelift to keep in line with Volkswagens image. Our showroom was extended and branding became new and fresh.
